Product Description

This is a decent 1899 Wisden paperback that has been rebound. The 36th almanack.

The boards on this edition are in very nice condition. The front and rear hinges of the rebind have been professionally strengthened with tape. The year is to the spine. Internally the original paperback front and rear wrappers, along with the front and rear advertising pages are lacking. The pages within are splendid. The book is clean and the trim healthy. A small section of pages are loose. This edition will need rebinding.

There is a pencil annotation to the top of the contents page.

The photo-plate is absent.

A fair 4/10

Contents Include:
Rules of County Cricket.
The late Mr. I.D. Walker.
Five Great Players of the Season.

Every listing in this auction is a book from a Wisden Collectors’ Club member. Their aim, along with mine is to allow a Wisden they no longer require to go to a fellow collector to read and enjoy. The Wisden Collectors’ Club does not take any fee at all – every single penny including the postage the winner pays, goes to the seller. You will see books listed in our auctions that have equivalents on the website that is my business (Wisdenworld) and you will see that they sell for more on Wisdenworld. That is a consequence that I am prepared to take in order for collectors to have a true and genuine opportunity of buying and selling Wisdens to each other. As a business I hope it also builds up loyalty and trust in both the WCC and Wisdenworld.
You will see that the listing style on both the WCC and Wisdenworld is the same, this is done to save time – being realistic, the WCC auctions take a lot of time so I try and make it easy for myself, hence the similar styles.

In this current auction (and throughout 2019) after agreement with all sellers a percentage of the final sale price plus ALL Proceeds (including Postage) from books taken from the Latest Offers And Giveaways section of the website will be split between The Alzheimer’s Society and The Kings Arms Project (Bedford).

Thank you so much for taking part.
