Product Description

Thank you for looking at this Very Nice 1936 original paperback edition. This edition is the seventy-third almanack.

The front cover is bright and clear. The spine is straight, clear and in very very good condition. The spine has a light crack down its length and whilst the Wisden is solid, this edition will benefit from having the spine strengthened. There is a light stain at the top of the front cover and down the left hand side of the back cover – the rear stain has gone through to the outside edges of a few pages, but no text or imagery is impacted upon.

The WCC is able to offer a quotation for rebinding, but NOT for any repair or restoration work.

Internally this is a solid tight edition, the contents are clean and excellent. The bat bookmark is present, minus the handle.

It is a confident 7.5/10.

Contents Include:
Jack Hobbs, 25 years of Triumph.
Australian Cricket.
Trials of a County secretary.
South Africans in England.
MCC Team in West Indies.
County Champions: Yorkshire
Sheffield Shield: Victoria.

IMPORTANT:

Every listing in this auction is a book from a Wisden Collectors’ Club member. Their aim, along with mine is to allow a Wisden they no longer require to go to a fellow collector to read and enjoy. The Wisden Collectors’ Club does not take any fee at all – every single penny including the postage the winner pays, goes to the seller. You will see books listed in our auctions that have equivalents on the website that is my business (Wisdenworld) and you will see that they sell for more on Wisdenworld. That is a consequence that I am prepared to take in order for collectors to have a true and genuine opportunity of buying and selling Wisdens to each other. As a business I hope it also builds up loyalty and trust in both the WCC and Wisdenworld.
You will see that the listing style on both the WCC and Wisdenworld is the same, this is done to save time – being realistic, the WCC auctions take a lot of time so I try and make it easy for myself, hence the similar styles.

In this current auction (and throughout 2019) after agreement with all sellers a percentage of the final sale price plus ALL Proceeds (including Postage) from books taken from the Latest Offers And Giveaways section of the website will be split between The Alzheimer’s Society and The Kings Arms Project (Bedford).

Thank you so much for taking part.
